Vocational, Technical and Adult Education (VTAE) college-Start College Now Application Process

Start College Now program allows 11th and 12th grade students to participate. Very similar to Youth Options program

ECCP allows grades 9th-12th grade to take courses in spring, summer or fall. Students must be accepted for enrollment based

  • n the university system’s structure and there are cost-based

provisions established if they are not accepted. This is a more complicated system than Youth Options but there are many

  • nline resources to help answer questions.

Student may take up to “18 college credit hours during eligibility period.” except summer for ECCP unless available.

The school district may grant HS credit for the courses completed through either program

March 1st application deadline for Fall Semester.

October 1st application deadline for Spring Semester.

School District pays the actual cost of tuition, fees, & books unless denied for comparable course or not accepted by university system or tech college certificate program. Can still take the course but family responsible to pay.

Students are responsible for consumables and the cost of any related equipment.

If the pupil receives a failing grade in a course, or fails to complete a course, for which the school district has made payment, the pupil’s parent or guardian, or the pupil if he or she is an adult, shall reimburse the school district the amount paid on the pupil’s behalf.
