About the SSE Titans Academy

SSE Cricket Institute SSE, previously known as PHSOB Cricket Academy has achieved much success since inception in 2006. We are the premier Cricket Academy in Gauteng and are the first academy to be affiliated to Northern’s Cricket (NCU), Titans Cricket and Cricket South Africa (CSA). We are extremely proud of this and take great pride in developing young cricketers from around the country. Our program has developed over the years and we have now rebranded ourselves as the SSE Cricket Institute and brought in more specialists and partners to give the players every opportunity to achieve their desired goals and results.

Home of the Multiply Titans & SSE Titans Academy

World Class Facilities

The Titans Academy is based at Supersport Park in Centurion and also operates from the Irene Villagers Cricket Club. Supersport Park is home to the Multiply Titans Franchise to which the Academy is an official feeder. We are very fortunate & grateful to be able to have the use of the specialised indoor centre, the fully equipped gym and the lecture facilities. We are also proud to mention that SSE Titans Academy is backed and supported by The NCU and CSA.

Strength & Conditioning

S&C plays a vital part in developing our players

• games. Very are very fortunate to have one of

the countries best S&C specialists consult our players on a regular basis. Not only does S&C make you stronger, translating into being able to run (faster), throw (further), Jump (Higher), and hit (harder), but it also allows our players to prepare their bodies for the loads they will need to endure during the various formats of the game. Certain movement patterns in the gym can and do translate directly into the game.

What Is It & Why It Is Important To Us

?

To participate in a competitive sport, such as cricket, one of the main aspects any coach should always keep in mind is that it is vital to achieve the best possible performance from the whole body – including the visual system.

Visual Skills Specialist Training

In cricket, it is possible that success is achieved by accurately made decisions, based on the information obtained by visual input. Effectiveness of the player’s ability to act quickly and accurately depends upon how efficient the visual system can process the information. Efficient visual skills are one of the more important assets any player can have and that Is why we invest a lot of time in developing these skills.

Visual Skills Specialist Training

A well-conditioned visual system more efficiently leads a well-tuned motor system to perform at its peak, time and time again. The development of the visual skills during the developmental stages of cricket players is fundamental and sports vision should be part of all cricket development programmes and cricket academies.
