Shore Regional High School School Safety Data System (SSDS) Report 2017-2018

What is the SSDS?

• New for the 17-18 school year
• Replaced the EVVRS and HIB-IT Reports
• Revisions to the Incident Reporting System

○ Some fields have been removed (burglary & fireworks) ○ Some fields have been combined (bomb threat, fake bomb, fire alarm offense are now one offense: False Public Alarm ○ Some field have been separated (Substance Use is now two separate incident types: Substance Use Confirmed and Substance Suspected, Refused Exam) ○ Additional Revisions: HIB Incident and now described as HIB Alleged or HIB confirmed, All removals must be reported (not just removals for Sp.Ed.) ○ New Incident Fields: Bias Intimidation (confirmed by law enforcement), Computer Trespass, Other Incident Leading to Removal

○ Evacuation Drill ○ Bus Evacuation Drill on September 14th. ○ Monthly Fire Drill and Emergency Drills ■ Shelter in Place, Lockdown, Medical Emergency ○ Regional and School Security meet individually with staff throughout the month of September and discuss our Emergency Response Protocol and train them in any new procedures
