VIOLENCE VIOLENCE AND AND VAND ANDALISM ALISM REPOR REPORT T REPORTING REPOR TING REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS Per the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR) (P.L. 2012, c.122) – • ALL founded cases of HIB are NOW reported on the Violence and Vandalism report. • Violence and Vandalism Data are reported twice per year • Reporting period 1 data (Sept. through December) – Reported out in Spring of the current school year. • Reporting period 2 data (January through June) – Reported out in the Fall of upcoming school year. • Incident categories that must be reported on are: • Violence • Vandalism • Weapons • Substances 2

GRADING GRADING OVER VERVIEW VIEW • Reporting Period Jan – June. • Each SST met to review DoE requirements and completed self- assessment to determine their score. • Grading 1st Year each school separate – district grade is averaged. Second year district is averaged and receives own grade. • While we would like to receive “Exceeds all requirements” in all areas, it is nearly impossible to do so. • Within 10 days of receiving our grades from DoE, we will post grades on school/district websites. • See attached rubric for informational purposes. • Process – Dr. Manno approves, BoE approves, data electronically sent to DoE NJ Homeroom. 24
