Levy Tax rates could change based on the type of soil and the value of that soil and based on the value of a home. There are many different types of soils, our example, Hoytville Clay, is usually asked about because that is a very common soil in Henry County. Soil values are locked in at a value every three years. The $1.44 cost is an estimate which should not change much for the next three years.
HOME OWNER AND AGRICULTURAL TAX INFORMATION
For homes valued at $100,000 the levy costs $48 a year
- r $4 per month. For each acre of Hoytville soil, the levy
will cost $1.44 a year or $0.12 cents per month. For more information about Tax rates please visit http://www.co.henry.oh.us/index.php Kevin Garringer, Henry County Auditor 419-592-1956

SELF ADVOCACY
The self-advocacy movement is largely about people with disabilities speaking up for themselves. A person with a developmental disability may call upon the support of others, but the individual is entitled to be in control
- f and direct his or her own resources. The purpose of self-advocacy is to
exercise the right to make life decisions without unnecessary influence or control by others. Our Self-Advocacy Group, the Voices of HOPE, meets regularly at HOPE Services with an average of 53 people attending. We currently have 5 graduates from Project STIR (Steps Towards Independence and Responsibility) that are actively involved with our group as well as the statewide advocacy group.
