OBJECTIVE OF THE BID

 To appoint service provider(s) for the provision of security services for a period of three years.  Central, Northern, Highveld and Non-Forestry Business Units  SAFCOL reserves the right to appoint one per Region or more service provider and the right not to appoint.

SUMMARY OF DELIVERABLES

 Access and egress (exit) control as per Business Unit requirement.  Guarding and patrolling as per Business Unit requirements.  Protection of assets, personnel, premises.  Functional control room for all service points and the requisite administrative duties.  Handling emergencies threatening SAFCOL assets, people and business continuity  Ad hoc Services as may be requested from time to time.  Risk and Threat assessments as per business unit/service point.  Alarm monitoring and armed response.  Forest Guarding on plantations.

SUMMARY OF SCOPE OF WORK Security guards must be available for day and night duties on weekdays, weekends and public holidays. Guards must at all times be uniformed and on time at work station, with company insignia and PSIRA identification cards on their person. Guards must be on duty for 12 hours during day shift and 12 hours during night shift. Guards must always be fit for duty and comply with all requirements of PSIRA Guards must be PSIRA Level C grading. Supervisors must be Level B that can provide armed

  • response. Supervisor must be available and on duty at

all times.
