PURPOSE OF THE SESSION  To share with bidders and contextualize the Terms of Reference, clarify, respond to pertinent questions  To outline and summarize the procurement process- how to complete the bid document and respond to the evaluation criteria.  To provide an opportunity to all bidders to engage on any relevant matters to this bid.

  4. OBJECTIVE OF THE BID  To appoint service provider(s) for the provision of security services for a period of three years.  Central, Northern, Highveld and Non-Forestry Business Units  SAFCOL reserves the right to appoint one per Region or more service provider and the right not to appoint.

  5. SUMMARY OF DELIVERABLES  Access and egress (exit) control as per Business Unit requirement.  Guarding and patrolling as per Business Unit requirements.  Protection of assets, personnel, premises.  Functional control room for all service points and the requisite administrative duties.  Handling emergencies threatening SAFCOL assets, people and business continuity  Ad hoc Services as may be requested from time to time.  Risk and Threat assessments as per business unit/service point.  Alarm monitoring and armed response.  Forest Guarding on plantations.

  6. SUMMARY OF SCOPE OF WORK  Security guards must be available for day and night duties on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.  Guards must at all times be uniformed and on time at work station, with company insignia and PSIRA identification cards on their person.  Guards must be on duty for 12 hours during day shift and 12 hours during night shift.  Guards must always be fit for duty and comply with all requirements of PSIRA  Guards must be PSIRA Level C grading .  Supervisors must be Level B that can provide armed response. Supervisor must be available and on duty at all times.

Reference letter with 3 yrs. 3 Provide references letters from clients on a client’s Reference letter with 4 yrs. 4 business letterhead and be duly signed, clearly indicating the following requirements: Reference letter with 5 yrs. 5 Contract start and end date, contract value, or more contact name, number and position of the referee and quality of the services rendered. Provide proof of experience through CVs Level B Supervisors on average no of years worked that will be used at all service points.
