Our self-contained Hive facilities will feature a classroom, STE(A)M room, and meal room, all of which will be newly renovated this Easter.

Research tells us that climbing is very good for mental health: developing healthy, happy, confident children who are ready and open to learning. Our enabling environments providing choice and stimulation both indoors and outdoors.

Practicalities:

• The Hive will be open from 8.00-6.00pm daily year round

Bees Need Holidays

• Enjoy a transitional journey into School Term Times

– 1 week half term Holidays – 1 week Christmas Holidays – 1 week Easter Holidays – 2 weeks Summer Holidays

the self-contained Hive Department

Forest School in the School grounds or pond area with “Freddie Fox” Adult-led Activity and Free Flow into the Bottom Garden with bikes, trikes, tractors and scooters

10.15am

Mid morning snack with Maths and Graphics

10.30am

Disco Dough to strengthen finger muscles for fine motor control Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Activities in the Busy Bee Room

10.45am

Adult-led Activity and Free Flow into the Top Garden with large climbing apparatus and construction Gymnastics, movement or dance in the School Gymnasium

11.45am

Circle Time and washing hands ready for lunch

12.00pm

Eat homemade lunch in the Busy Bee Room

Sleep / relax in the Flower Room upstairs

1.15pm Circle time and language and communication in the Busy Bee Room 1.30pm Child Yoga led by our own specialist teacher Music and Rhythm led by our own specialist teacher 1.45pm Adult-led Activity and Free Flow into the Bottom Garden with bikes, trikes, tractors and scooters Bringing the outdoors in with activities in our STEAM room 2.30pm Tennis Lesson led by Bristol University Coaching Staff Top Garden – picking or planting vegetables along with finding weeds and bugs 3.00pm Circle Time in the Busy Bee Room 3.30pm Leaving Point A (not staying for Tea) Choose My Learning and play in the Busy Bee Room 4.00pm Eat homemade tea in the Busy Bee Room 4.30pm Leaving Point B (pickup anytime after this point) Choose My Learning and play in the Worker Bee Room 5.30pm Relax and listen in the Busy Bee Room 5.50pm Leaving Point C (all children must be collected by 5.50pm) 6.00pm The Hives closes
