  14. “It was a rewarding experience. I don’t know where to start! I spent one month working at Holiday Inn Manchester West, I worked with people from different nationalities and of course, different English accents. I got involved in a wonderful team, full of happiness and also with a strong commitment to good service and quality. My work was diversified and it helped me improving different skills such as listening and speaking (I participated in meetings with customers, made calls to potential customers and went to seminars) and also reading and writing (I made research for potential customers). But without any doubt, be part of a team who has English as an official language was the most rewarding part of my experience, because there is no other way, you have to speak in English all day and despite it being difficult in the beginning, after one week you start to feel more confident with your skills and your performance. You cannot improve by staying in your comfort zone, you just need to trust yourself and take a leap... after that I just can say: enjoy the journey :)”
