  3. STATE OF MAINE CDC COUNTY RISK LEVEL DESIGNATIONS RED: 100% Virtual/At-Home Learning YELLOW: Hybrid In-School/Virtual Learning GREEN: 100% In-School Learning (following all MDOE safety requirements) * RISK LEVEL IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME* RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

MDOE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR IN-PERSON LEARNING ● Face Coverings: Masks must be worn by all students, staff, and other individuals entering RLRS for any reason , with safe “mask breaks” for students scheduled into the school day. Face masks should be made of multiple layers of cloth and follow CDC guidelines. ● Social Distancing: ○ 6 feet distance in classrooms and common areas ○ no more than 50 individuals gathered in one large gathering space ○ Staggered passing between classes to minimize student contact in hallways. ● Hygiene Training/Resources/Protective Equipment for Staff and Students ● Home Symptom Screening ● School Plan for Symptom/Suspected COVID Case Response RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

RLRS BUILDING SAFETY PLAN ● Ventilation system is up to code for all learning spaces. ● Staggered entrance and exit plans. ● Screening process and hand sanitizing upon entering the building and each classroom. ● A minimum of 6-foot distancing maintained at all times. ● Hall and stairway signage to help control distancing and encourage good hygiene practices. ● Mandatory face coverings. ● Limited sharing of classroom materials. ● Plexiglass dividers where appropriate. ● Plan in place for increased cleaning protocols. BUSING AND TRANSPORTATION ● At this time, we are encouraging all parents to transport their child(ren) whenever possible ● Bus seating will be limited ● Buses will have assigned seating ● Face coverings must be worn at all times while on the bus ● Hand sanitizer will be available for use upon entering the bus RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

MORNING ARRIVAL ALL STUDENT DROP OFFS WILL OCCUR IN THE BUS LOOP ● Face coverings must be in place before exiting personal transportation ● Students will have a designated entry/exit point ● Temperature checks for all students and staff upon entering the building ● *NEW* Arrival time is 7:45AM. There is no morning recess. Students CANNOT be dropped off prior to 7:45AM. RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

  8. AFTERNOON DISMISSAL ● No lobby pickups ○ If a student needs to be dismissed early for a scheduled appointment, the front office must be notified in advance. Student MUST be picked up before 2:00PM (1:00PM on Tuesdays). After 2PM buses will be in the parking lot and you will not be able to drive through. Masks must be worn in the vestibule. ● Buses load and depart first from parking lot ● Student drivers and siblings depart second ● Parent/guardian pick up and walkers released third to the bus loop RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

SCHOOL MEALS AND NUTRITION ● Breakfast and lunch will be served in classrooms ● For remote choice/hybrid Monday-Thursday: ○ Meals must be ordered in advance and picked up from the school by appointment ● Fridays and Remote Red: ○ Meals will be delivered through drop-off and pick-up points in the community RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

SCHOOL NURSE/PLAN FOR ILLNESS ● PreScreening tool must be used prior to attending school ○ Prescreening tool link ● An isolation room will be available for students/staff who are symptomatic ● Health office staff will follow the MDOE Child Appears/Feels Unwell Flowchart for those who are not feeling well during the school day ● Guidance about return to school after illness will be based on AAP/CDC/DOE flowcharts (currently under revision) * Information on this slide is subject to change and update at any time* RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

SPECIAL EDUCATION ● Special Education needs will be addressed on an individual basis. ● IEP teams will make plans on a case by case basis in accordance with the forthcoming MDOE and CDC guidelines. * Information on this slide is subject to change and update at any time* RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

  12. PRE-KINDERGARTEN Due to staffing and space concerns, we will NOT be offering Pre-K instruction to start the school year. We hope this will be a temporary measure. The feasibility of the Pre-K program will be revisited in early winter. We are committed to returning Pre-K students to the building as soon as possible. We will be offering supplemental materials to help support Pre-K students at home. RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

  13. LEARNING MODELS K - 12 2020 RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN

  14. ALL MODELS 1. Fridays will be remote learning under ANY color level/risk level. 2. Transition between plans may happen at any time. 3. When Franklin County is designated as green, it may still be necessary for some grade spans to operate under a yellow model due to enrollment numbers and space concerns. 4. Tuesdays will continue to be 1:30PM dismissal, as usual. 5. Families will have a choice to elect 100% remote learning under the yellow & green plans. MS/HS students will be expected to attend in real time with the in-building class schedule. More information will follow for families who elect this option. RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78

GREEN/IN-PERSON MODEL ● In-person learning operating within the MDOE safety measures previously outlined ● Monday through Friday - Regular bell schedule in the school building with Tuesday early release ● Fridays are remote for all students - See manual for Friday schedules by grade level ● Information will be forthcoming for families opting for remote schooling during green level ○ Attendance is mandatory ○ Work will be scored and grades given as usual RANGELEY LAKES REGIONAL SCHOOL - RSU 78
