Conclusions

  • 1. Pump mechanical extraction/insertion OK.
  • 2. Pump is quite and no vibration.
  • 2. Maximal level difference is 36 cm at rated speed.
  • 3. Pump tower will be delivered next week.

Points to pay attention

  • 1. After pumping, the pump should be completely dry — moisture inside the pump

will become ice thus to block the impeller.

  • 2. Need to discuss with Michael/David to change the filling procedure — first fill

the pump tower and test the pump before filling the whole cryostat.
