What Information is Available?

  • Overview – of entire project
  • Plant Construction – expansion of the Northeast Water

Purification Plant

  • Raw Water Pipeline – two 108” pipes carrying water from Lake

Houston to the plant

  • Intake Pump Station – structure in Lake Houston which collects

water to feed into the pipelines to the plant

  • Environment/Permitting – environment, permits, trees, wildlife,

the lake, and surrounding area

What Information is Available?

  • Neighborhood Impact – traffic, dust, noise, lights, flooding
  • Jobs – created and available as a result of this project
  • Transmission Pipeline – the pipeline traveling west of the

plant carrying the purified drinking water to Harris and Fort Bend counties

  • West Harris County Regional Water Authority – one of the

four water authorities responsible for this project and information on water subsidence and surface water mandates
