Hackers and Ne’er do wells

  • Computers try to hack into the site every day
  • Email spam has risen over the year and is now estimated to be much

greater than legitimate email traffic

  • Service providers are tasked with limiting the proliferation of spam

– Service providers frequently block our legitimate messages as they try to limit spam through automatic filtering. BT is currently doing this

  • More than 3hrs of technical support discussion with BT (India) ended with

“we do not have access to the filtering of mail, that is a different department” . A department that they cannot connect me to. So case closed

  • We have now separated out BT addresses in our database and will send
  • ut a different format newsletter with a single link in it.
  • However despite this………

Prestwood; it’s your village!

  • In 2013 we asked you what was on your mind
  • Tonight we are asking again.
  • Three questions

– How is PVA doing? – What is your biggest concern with regards to Prestwood? – If you could fix one thing what would that be?

Process

  • Pens and Post it notes are available
  • Use as many as you like
  • Keep it concise
  • No boundaries
  • Hand your Post it notes over to a member of the PVA

committee

  • PVA will process and categorise your feedback and publish it

in the next 60 days.

  • If there are some consistent themes we may come back and

ask for more detail and help to establish one or more working group(s)
