  3. Who We Are UArctic is a cooperative network of universities, colleges, research institutes and other organizations concerned with education and research in and about the North. UArctic builds and strengthens collective resources and collaborative infrastructure that enables member institutions to better serve their constituents and their regions. Through cooperation in education, research and outreach we enhance human capacity in the North, promote viable communities and sustainable economies, and forge global partnerships. Circumpolar Studies An exciting way for students at UArctic member institutions to learn about the North, with courses held in the classroom, online, outdoors, and around the world. “Before BCS I’ve never had such an experience - to study by distance education… it was interesting to communicate with people from different countries.   13. north2north Student Mobility Student exchange program that allows students at UArctic institutions to visit different northern regions, and share experiences face-to-face, through study at other UArctic institutions. I enrolled in the north2north program to broaden my knowledge in a north2north student exchanges different culture and on different subjects than I was studying in Canada. 163 This experience caused me to rethink my career, where I was going to live, (in 2013) and what I was going to do with my life.
