This category shall cover innovative solutions, processes and technologies in the field of ocean renewables and ocean energy. 11:10 - 11:20 Investor pitch 11:20 - 12:20 BlueInvest Awards | Pitch Category 2: Intelligent ocean Five start-ups/SMEs in this category will be selected to pitch to a panel of investors and experts. The BlueInvest Award for “Intelligent Ocean” will be awarded to the candidate with the best technology/product and pitch at the conclusion of BlueInvest Day. This category shall cover next generation digital technologies, products and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics, smart ports, harbours & terminals, remote sensing and navigation, etc.

This category shall cover innovative new food and feed from aquaculture and renewable aquatic biological resources. 14:30 - 14:50 TED-style talk Game-changer to talk about an inspiring model or Blue Initiative. 14:50 - 15:00 Investor pitch 15:00 - 16:00 BlueInvest Awards | Pitch Category 4: Blue bioeconomy and green solutions Five start-ups/SMEs in this category will be selected to pitch to a panel of investors and experts. The BlueInvest Award for “Intelligent Ocean” will be awarded to the candidate with the best technology/product and pitch at the conclusion of BlueInvest Day. This category shall cover new products, technologies, solutions and processes from renewable aquatic biological resources, including packaging and medical/pharmaceuticals. It shall also cover solutions toward the “greening” of traditional maritime industries, marine litter, circular economy, natural capital/ocean resource management, etc.

BLUEINVEST GRANTS BLUEINVEST FUND

The Blue Economy Investment Fund is coming soon.

The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) supports the development of innovative services and technologies and awards grants to market- and investment-ready SMEs with innovative products, technologies and services for the blue economy. The Blue Invest platform will support the EMFF calls for proposals. The 2019 call will be closed on the 27 February 2020 at 17:00 (Brussels time). It will have an available call budget of EUR 22,505,000. Apply now.
