Conclusions

  • A slightly less pessimistic outlook for growth in Europe from 2014‐2015 (Eurostat)  less tension

surrounding the confidence indicators in the survey, especially in Northern Europe, where the end of the crisis is perceptible (in particular in Germany and Great Britain).

  • Nevertheless, levels of motivation remain stable and the same "blocks" are observed.

Employment and compensation remain at the heart of employees' concerns, especially in Southern Europe  the choice to remain in the same company is massively predominant (mobility = risk) and skills management is a key challenge.

  • At the same time, a new demand is emerging, mainly amongst managers: time devoted to work

(organisation, working methods, flexibility of working hours, etc.)  a concern that could be accentuated by the expected return to growth and the increasingly blurred lines between work and private life.

The attention paid to "better living" (quality of life at work, professional development, recognition, organisation of work) remains a major motivation lever.
