Accomplishments:

  • A130 Lecture hall received new wiring and instructional technology
  • New Citrix labs: A351, B015, B019
  • Equipped for Comp. Sci. and Math & Stats
  • A215 now instructional space for RMT program
  • A221 vacated and transformed into offices
  • A221 Print station relocated
  • Completed design of dual purpose lab desks

Dual purpose labs in progress:

  • L303/L304 being transformed into dual purpose classrooms
  • Hybrid desks to support easy transition from classroom to full computer lab

Essential Systems Stabilization and Security Enhancements

7 essential systems identified

Banner SSB and INB, Luminis portal, Room Booking System (Schedule Expert), www.langara.bc.ca, Account provisioning, Lab and desktop software, College phone system

 Banner – Upgrade to Oracle 12c is planned over Christmas break  Luminis – Upgrade is planned for the end of Jan 2016.  Schedule Expert – Testing underway and Upgrade is planned for the first week of Jan 2016  College phone system – RFP will be issued to start the move to a new telephone system  Planning underway for enhancements and disaster recovery plans for:

  • The College Website
  • Account provisioning
  • Lab and Desktop software
