Water and Sewage- Adequate Planning

  • Due to nature of hard water in Noida, Ganga water project launched in 2005 for citizens
  • Noida would be the 1st city to provide 100% ganga water to all the residents August

2014

  • Focus on using surface water thereby conserving the ground water tables for next

generation

  • It is one of the few cities in India which boasts of higher water and sewerage treatment

capacity than the estimated demand

Investment

  • f INR 800

crores for 100% Gangajal supply

Infrastructure Industry Upcoming projects ► Existing capacity of water treatment plant is 368 MLD and Sewerage is 218 MLD. ► The current capacity is adequate to meet demand for both water, sewerage treatment in

Noida

► By 2021, the capacity of water and sewerage treatment plant is expected to increase to 600

MLD and 411 MLD respectively keeping in line with demand estimation
