Structure of the IB Diploma

  • 2 Year Programme
  • Six subjects + Core: Extended Essay, TOK and CAS
  • Must choose from one each Group 1 to 5
  • Plus another from either Group 6 or Group 3 / 4
  • Three subjects at Higher Level (240 hours)
  • Three subjects at Standard Level (150 hours)

  • Independent research assignment of 4,000 words in one of the six subject areas.
  • Students work with an assigned supervisor.
  • Creativity / Action / Service (CAS)
  • Continuous engagement for 18 months
  • Activities are focused on the CAS Learning Objectives.
