  2. A A fe few w words words f from m HASS ASSRA Fylde A Fylde Chair… Welcome to the annual HASSRA Fylde Presentation Evening. The organisers of tonight’s event have yet again put in an enormous amount of work in the run up to the evening and I would just like to thank them on your behalf for all of their efforts. As always we are here to celebrate success in HASSRA Regional and National competitions. Congratulations to those of you who won at your chosen sport/activity and thank you to everyone who has participated. Considering that Fylde is one of the smaller Regions we have had some exceptional results again this year; you will hear about a number of these when we announce the results of the annual awards. We have again included resumes about the nominees in the Programme and it is fantastic to see the variety of activities covered by the nominations. I am 2

  3. especially pleased to see that this year we have nominations for all of the major awards. Tonight is also a chance to recognise the people who volunteer to organise events, activities, trips, and run our Clubs. Without their efforts on our behalf HASSRA Fylde would not exist. Most of us turn up, take part, enjoy the activity and go home happy, which is exactly how it should be. That doesn’t happen by magic; there is a lot of unseen hard work before, during and after the events to ensure their success. A huge THANK YOU to all of our fantastic volunteers. I know that everyone is really busy but even just 1 or 2 additional volunteers would make a huge difference. If you are interested just let one of us know. I do hope that you enjoy the night.
