▶ All campuses use www.calstate.edu/apply for college applications and other information including financial aid. ▶ Each campus has a web link to their website. ▶ All campuses required completion of CSU - UC A- G courses for admission.
▶ DHS diploma with distinction and advanced scholar diploma align
with the A-G requirements
▶ Each college has an minimum eligibility index found on
individual campus websites which uses GPA + SAT or ACT criteria.
▶ Local campus require a 3.0 or higher GPA
▶ All campuses require either the SAT or the ACT exam w/essay
▶
CSU’s use only the SAT math and critical reading scores ▶ For Engineering majors, we recommend SAT
▶ DHS students are given first priority for admission to
Cal State East Bay and Cal State San Francisco.
▶
If these are not on the list of preferred campuses, we recommend students include one of them as a “safety” school.
2 categories of Impaction
▶ Impacted Majors - Number of eligible candidates far
exceed the number of spaces
▶ May be admitted in an alternative major
▶
Fullerton, Long Beach, San Diego, San Jose, and San Luis Obispo, Fresno, Los Angeles campuses are impacted in all undergrad programs
▶ Impacted Campus – number of eligible applicants
exceeds number of instructional resources.
▶ Impaction is a protection of over crowding & being
about to serve admitted students.
