Historical Background: 1978- Beamsville BIA was established 1978-2017-Beamsville BIA was operated by a group of business people who volunteered their time to be a part of the Board. 2017- Council dedicated $35K to the 2018 BIA budget to help move the strategic plan forward. 2018-BIA hired a full-time executive director with the task of moving the BIA forward and dissecting and completing the strategic plan.

09 What are our objectives? How can we maximize the continued support from the Town? Our ask of $30k would be towards administration, and business operations. In 2019 the BIA is taking on more responsibility for administration. In addition, a more expanded catchment area that will require vast marketing, communications, beautification, and overall BIA support. What is our strategy for the rest of the year?

Increase number of Board Members from 6-9 2019 Budget Ratified through Council. 4 Committees formed: Beautification, Marketing, Events & Promotions, Finance, Governance. Draft Downtown Bench Policies & Procedures, Constitution and BIA Bylaws. Work with wineries & BDSS for more Barrels. Soliciate Vendors & Organize Farmers' Market.
