Historical Background: 1978- Beamsville BIA was established 1978-2017-Beamsville BIA was operated by a group of business people who volunteered their time to be a part

  • f the Board.

2017- Council dedicated $35K to the 2018 BIA budget to help move the strategic plan forward. 2018-BIA hired a full-time executive director with the task of moving the BIA forward and dissecting and completing the strategic plan.

What are our objectives? Our 2019 budget will assist the BIA taking on more

  • responsibility. An expanded catchment area t will require vast marketing,

communications, beautification, and overall BIA support. So What is our strategy for the rest of the year?

11 Expansion Passes Complete Data Base of New Businesses in the Catchment. One-on-one Meetings with New Businesses. 2019 Budget Completed. AGM Hosted. Increase number of Board Members from 6-9 2019 Budget Ratified through Council. Host a downtown clean-up (April 23, 2019) 4 Committees formed: Beautification, Marketing, Events & Promotions, Finance, Governance. Draft Downtown Bench Policies & Procedures, Constitution and BIA Bylaws. Work with wineries & BDSS for more Barrels. Soliciate Vendors & Organize Farmers' Market. Plan Community event with Town; Lincoln Rerooted.
