  • The National Council for Disaster Management (NCDM) was

established, as per the act in 2005

  • The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) was established in

2005

  • In December 2005, the Ministry for Disaster Management was
  • established. In January 2006, Human Rights portfolio was

added to the Ministry
