PROGRAMS ARE BASED ON 5 AREAS OF EMPHASIS
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE LIFE SKILLS CITIZENSHIP CHARACTER EDUCATION
- Each program sets its own meeting schedule.
- The national average of youth membership in a single Exploring
program is 24 participants.
- Exploring is not Exploring unless it is a hands-on, interactive program.
- Adult and youth leaders work together to coordinate an annual “superactivity”.
- Some participating organizations choose to charge a participant fee.
- Having six registered adult leaders is recommended.
- Host an open house (youth recruitment night) annually in the fall.
