PROGRAMS ARE BASED ON 5 AREAS OF EMPHASIS

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE LIFE SKILLS CITIZENSHIP CHARACTER EDUCATION

• Each program sets its own meeting schedule.
• The national average of youth membership in a single Exploring

program is 24 participants.

• Exploring is not Exploring unless it is a hands-on, interactive program.
• Adult and youth leaders work together to coordinate an annual “superactivity”.
• Some participating organizations choose to charge a participant fee.
• Having six registered adult leaders is recommended.
• Host an open house (youth recruitment night) annually in the fall.
