CHS Academy Pathways Q & A

  • 1. What will my daily schedule look like?
  • We are on a 4x4 next year. All classes are 90 minutes long. You’ll take 4

classes each day, and some days will alternate.

  • See schedule slide
  • 2. Will there still be athletics at CHS?
  • YES! We will still have all the same sports and everyone is a Chieftain!

Academies will not matter for sports teams!

  • 3. Can I still take theater, art, or music?
  • YES! The arts classes including Theater, Band, and Art are still open to all CHS

student schedules, regardless of pathways.

  • 4. Can I still take Advanced of AP courses?
  • YES! These courses will still be available in every pathway.
  • 5. What if I want to switch a pathway?
  • YES. If after one year in an academy, you and your parent decide it is best to

switch to another academy, there will be an application process in place. However, we encourage students to pick carefully now and stay!
