If you are moving or planning to move, you must fill it out anyway. Both the student and parent must sign the course sheet and KAP
Commitment on the back of the course selection sheet.

KAP Social Studies is recommended for students taking KAP

KAP Courses
KAP courses are designed to challenge motivated students and prepare them for success in advanced coursework.
These courses:
typically move at a faster pace,
are academically challenging,
require more independent learning, and
require more homework than academic courses.

2019-2020 Course Catalog, pages 36-37 All semester grades and grade points earned in high school credit courses become a permanent part of the student’s high school transcript and are factored into the student’s grade point average and class rank. A student in the Top 10% of the graduating class is
eligible for automatic admission consideration at Texas public colleges and universities, with the exception of the University of Texas at Austin.
Students in the graduating classes of 2020 and
2021 who rank in the Top 6% of their class are eligible for automatic admissions consideration at the University of Texas at Austin.
