- City of Dallas started the program in 2006 with a 10 year contract.
- In 2017, the City of Dallas went into a new contract with a new
vendor for 8 years.
- Our current program has 29 intersections with active 51 Red Light
camera.

On March 20th, 2019, Department

Transportation attended the Senate hearing on behalf of the City of Dallas to
- ppose the SB 653. We testified
against the bill and presented the programs benefits. No votes were taken that day. An action from the committee is pending.

Our goal is to reduce 100% of the right angle crashes throughout Dallas. We are including SafeLight intersections with in our Safe Route to School and Vision Zero program.
