NIMAT Background • 3 National Incident Management Assistance Teams (N-IMAT) around the country • 2 in Herndon, VA • 1 in Sacramento, CA • Reallocating the IMAT to the disaster budget (DRF) • Provide flexibility in hiring qualified personnel • Performance based system to ensure teams meet and exceed the needs of stakeholders 5

Concept of Operations • Team receives initial deployment orders through the FEMA Emergency Notification System (ENS) ENS • All Hands Team Meeting / Call at designated Facility • Prepare team vehicles and Cache for Movement • Prepare travel arrangements to arrive to designated facility with in 12 hours 2:00 from the time of the incident • Arrive at designated facility. (IOF, EOC, JFO) and begin initial operations 12:00

Technology and Innovation Advisor • Unique to NIMAT • NetGuard • The Tech Corps program is designed to: o Build and sustain a national network of technology volunteers from recognized organizations, o Facilitate collaborative solutions to critical issues and technology gaps during response and recovery, and o Formalize a structure to make it easier to integrate technology partners into the disaster response structure, in support of state and local emergency managers .
