  • Must be a nonprofit
  • Must be located within City Limits
  • Must provide shelter for homeless
  • Funds can be used to pay rent/mortgage and/or utilities

  • Each Provider will be eligible for up to $5,000 per month

Household must provide evidence of a reduction in income related to Covid-19

  • Reductions may be caused by:
  • Layoffs
  • Reduction in work hours
  • Increase in medical bills or the need to stay home due to a sick household

member or quarantine restrictions etc.

  • Income verification:
  • A letter from employer
  • Evidence of reduced wages, by providing a current and past (prior to

March 2020) payroll stubs

  • Copies of medical bills.

  • Household income will be calculated in accordance with California Code

Regulations 25§ 6914.

  • Income may be documented by an income declaration completed by all

household’s expected income for the next 12 months.

  • If the household claims no income, all household members over the age
  • f 18 shall provide a zero-income declaration
  • If a household has experienced a reduction in income, but is still

collecting income from any source, the assistance amount may be prorated

  • Monthly rent or mortgage will be verified by a statement or lease

agreement

  • Assistance checks will be paid directly to the landlord or mortgage

holder.

Gross Income:

Gross income shall mean the anticipated income of a person or family for the 12 month period following the date of determination of

  • income. If the circumstances are such that it is not reasonably feasible to

anticipate a level of income over a 12 month period, a shorter period may be used.
