What is the After school program?

  • A Fairfax County Public School

program designed to give added support, both academic and non- academic, to students to foster better success in and out of the classroom.

After School participants must…

  • …Abide by all Fairfax County Public

Schools; Students Rights & Responsibility at all times after school. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary actions, which can include the loss of all non-academic based after school program participation!

When does After school meet?

  • Late Bus Days:

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

Prearranged with the teacher)

*Monday/Friday 2:25 p.m.-4:45 p.m. *parents MUST provide transportation.

How many sessions are After School?

  • A session: 2:25 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • B session: 3:35 p.m. – 4:35 p.m.

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Only *Snacks provided at the beginning of B session. If your child has food allergies, please send them to school with a snack.

Can a student stay after with a teacher and then come to After school

  • Absolutely! All students staying after

for a specific teacher may join any activity afterwards, provided they have a signed pass from that teacher!!

What days are late bus days?

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

starting at 4:30 pm. All teachers will escort their students to the cafeteria. We will send students to their bus from the cafeteria.

If a student does not ride a late bus where are they picked up?

  • Door Entrance 1 (Front of the school)

Students must be picked up by 5:00.

  • Walkers may leave whenever they are

done with their activity, even if it’s after the first session.
