Bennington is a High Achieving District • Bennington is one of only five districts in the state to receive the highest rating of “Excellent” in Nebraska’s classification process. • Bennington High School was recognized in the Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Roll for 2016-2017. • The Bennington Class of 2017 had a 94.4% graduation rate. • 83% of Bennington High School students participate in at least one extracurricular activity. • 2017 Bennington High School graduates earned more than 1.5 million scholarship dollars.

What if the bond does not pass?  The District will make short-term accommodations using money from the general fund.  Delaying construction may translate into higher bond interest rates and construction costs.  Continued overcrowding at each facility will create a larger student to teacher ratio.  The District would be required to spend additional funds in order to call another bond election.

Mail-in Ballot: March 13, 2018 • February 23, 2018: is the last day for mail-in registration. • March 2, 2018: is the last day for in-person voter registration. • Verify that there are initials of an election official at the bottom of the ballot. • Use a #2 lead pencil or black or blue pen to mark the ballot. • Do not over vote, cross out, or erase or your vote may not be counted. • After voting, insert the ballot into the Return Identification Envelope and then complete, sign and seal the Return Identification Envelope. (Only one ballot per return identification envelope will be accepted.) • Place postage on the envelope ($0.50). • Mail or deliver your ballot to the Election Commissioner of Douglas County, 225 N. 115th St., Omaha, NE 68154. Your ballot must be in the possession of the Douglas County Election Commissioner by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
