Trip Itinerary

This itinerary is subject to change if there is inclement weather.

  • All chaperones on the trip are Lakeside staff
  • members. We do not use parent chaperones.
  • Chaperones have groups of 16 students or

less.

  • An administrator will be on the trip.
  • Teachers’ rooms are in close proximity

to their student groups.

  • Each hotel has a security guard on duty all

night.

  • Doors are taped at the end of the evening.
  • Girls and boys are in separate hotels.

▶ Students will select roommates in early October. ▶ 4 students are in each room. ▶ Students may room with any 8th grader – they are not limited to those in their homeroom or in their classes ▶ SS teachers will work with students if they need help finding roommates.

▶ Any medications needed on the trip will be sent from home. No medications are taken from the clinic. ▶ If a student has a medical condition such as asthma, food or insect allergy, diabetes, or seizures the school needs a current care plan on file. ▶ Medications are supervised/dispensed by chaperones.

▶We will collect preliminary information on food allergies on the Parent/Student Agreement form and communicate with students in October regarding alternate meals. ▶ All of the restaurants we visit have vegetarian options.

▶ The total cost of the trip is $265.00. This includes all transportation, lodging, meals and a T-shirt. ▶ Payment schedule:

  • $132.50 due September 7th, along with the

signed Student/Parent Agreement Form.

  • $132.50 due October 5th.

▶ Final payment must be made by October 5th in order to fill out a roommate form.

▶ You may pay by check or card

using MyPaymentsPlus.

If your student is unable to attend the Savannah trip, the following refund deadlines apply: ▶ Cancel before October 5th = full refund. ▶ Cancel between October 5th & October 12th= partial refund. ▶ Cancel after October 12th = no refund. ❖ Regardless of the date, if a student loses his/her place on the trip due to behavior, there will be no refund.

Any 8th grader who incurs the following infractions will not be eligible to go on the trip: ▶ Two days of ISS ▶ One day of OSS

❖ If a student loses his/her place on the trip for

disciplinary issues he/she is not eligible for a refund.
