Trip Technology ● Cameras - Students are responsible for care of own camera if they choose to bring one. ● Phones - yes (conditional) ○ Phones may only be used as cameras during the day ○ Students will not be allowed to text, talk or use any function other than the camera during the day. Contact with parents is allowed in the morning and at night. ● Drones - No ● Laptop, ipad, Tablet, ect - Not allowed ***SCIS is NOT responsible for and lost or damaged technology during the trip***
Roommate Process: ● Students will choose from their Advisory/Dragaon time cohort next week. ● Rooms of 2 maybe 3 based on choices they selected. ● Goal - To be in a room with at least 1 person that they have chosen. ● Questions?
Sanya – Hainan Island Located in the South China Sea, Hainan Island has long been called the “Hawaii of the East” and is China’s best tropical paradise!
Flights (tentative) Depart Day: Monday, September 3rd Meeting time at school for Time: 10am flight time departure approx 7 am Location: Hongqiao Airport Return Day: Friday, September 7th Time: 2:10pm from Hainan Arrive at Hongqiao airport @ 5:15pm ***All students will depart and be pick-up from SCIS***
Medical Issues: Please be sure to inform the school and the trip leader about any medical/allergies that your child has. - Fill out medical link sent you you. - If medication is needed, provide detailed instructions and label bottles in English. Hydration is key!!! *** Be sure that your child has a reusable water bottle and is drinking water at all time during the trip***
Food ● All meals will be provided. ● Healthy snacks are encouraged to pack with your child. ● A few treats are fine, but large amounts of unhealthy snacks will be confiscated during the trip and returned when we get back to campus.
