■ Students will be allowed to carry cell phones on them during the trip. ■ Cell phones must be turned off during the entire trip except in the event of an emergency when students will be instructed to turn their phones on. Parents will be provided with instructions

they are check-in at their hotel room and when their bus is 30 minutes away from WAMS.

■ Cell phones will be housed overnight with an administrator. ■ Students’ cell phones will be returned in the morning when they are signed out of their room. ■ Their phone will remain on their person and off throughout Day 2 of the trip. ■ Once a student’s bus is within 30 minutes from WAMS, the staff will ask students to turn on their phones to call their parents to arrange for pick-up. ■ Any student who does not comply with these rules will have their phone confiscated until an investigation can be completed. Some incidents may require that cell phones may be held over the weekend as deemed necessary by administration. Students in violation of this policy will receive consequences in line with the code of conduct.
