! The Commission circulated the non-sensitive part the study on cruise ship and ports security that Maritime Security Solutions b.v. (MSS) and ARCADIS Nederland b.v had undertaken at the request of DG MOVE. ! The sensitive information was left out in order not to compromise the security situation on the examined cruise ships and in the ports. ! The Secretariat requested feedback on the study by its members via email on 21 December. ! MedCruise co-signed a joint cruise industry response along with CLIA, Cruise Europe, ECSA, EMPA, ESPO and FEPORT

! Overall results negative: Consultants identified a number of problems at certain cruise ports, including inadequate fencing and gates, poor controls of passengers when entering cruise ships & problems as regards communication between port facility security officers and ship security officers.

• 1. 2016 Regular members

annual Fees As of 31st December 2016, 70 port members had paid their membership fees for 2016; Two (2) membership fees were pending: (a) Alanya, which paid in May 2017 half of the pending membership fee of 2016 (2.400); (b) Egyptian Ports, which paid the 2016 membership fee in May 2017

• 2. 2016 Associate members

annual fees As of 31st December 2016, 30 associate members had paid their membership fees for 2016; Three (3) associate membership fees were pending: (D' Alessandro Travel, Inflot World Wide Inc, World Synergy Travel)

• 3. Other Pending income of

2016 (1) One member (Cyprus Port Authority) has not settled yet the payment of their stand construction and electricity (1.600 Euros); (2) An amount of 179 Euros is due by a participant at the last PDC. Settlement of both amounts is in progress

• 4. Total Pending Income of

2016 As a result of notes 1 & 2 & 3, at the end of the operating year 2016, the total pending Income of 2016 was standing at 15.779,00 Euros. EXPENSES

• 1. Other extra expenses

This category includes a total of 1.658,42 on office equipment and furniture due to movement of the Secretariat to new offices

• 2. Seatrade Global 2017

As of 31st December 2016, a total amount of 38.934,76 has been paid: MedCruise booth (19.848,76); Booth construction (16.000 in advance payment); and flights to Fort Lauderdale (3.086)

• 3. Pending expenses of 2015

paid in 2016 This includes a total of 5.156,63: Website expenses (100), Cruise Media News advertisement (750), December accounting firm expenses in Greece (492), Personnel expenses and taxes in Greece (3.814,63)

• 4. Pending expenses of 2016

to be paid in 2017 As of 31 December 2016, a total of 2,698,09 euros was pending as follows: (1) November and December personnel taxes in Greece (1762,60); (2) December accounting firms expenses in Spain and Greece (788,82); Mobile bill (146,63)
