He Who Is… Everlasting

Psalms 90:1-2 Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. 2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Main Point 1: God has been present since before the world began. Romans 1:20 “20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”

Main Point 2: God is Constant

Genesis 21:31-34:“31So that place was called Beersheba, because the two men swore an oath there.

32After the treaty had been made at Beersheba,

Abimelek and Phicol the commander of his forces returned to the land of the Philistines. 33Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the Lord, the Eternal God. 34And Abraham stayed in the land of the Philistines for a long time.”

Genesis 9:16 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind

  • n the earth.”

Main Point 3 God is greater than all things in our life

Isaiah 40:28-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Psalm 102:25-27 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear

  • ut like a garment. Like clothing you will

change them and they will be discarded.

27 But you remain the same, and your years

will never end. Challenge: This week as you go, when you see an evergreen tree or see a rainbow or feel amazed by his creation, I want you to think about He who is…Everlasting
