11 projects underway for improved airport access. Work initiated in 2017.
Public workshop held on May 25, 2017. Presentation of concept designs on October 16,
2017. Presentation of preferred alternative to Borough Assembly on May 14, 2018.

Construction Project 1 ‐ Revilla Uplands Project

Expanded uplands. More parking, improved vehicle & pedestrian flow, ticketing & vehicle

staging.

New passenger waiting building and covered pedestrian walkways.

Construction Project 2 ‐ Revilla / Gravina New Ferry Berths & Gravina Upland Improvements

Construct two new ferry berths at Revilla and Gravina shuttle ferry terminals.
Pedestrian and vehicle access improvements at Gravina ferry terminal uplands.

Schedule

Fall, 2019: Complete design/advertise construction contracts.
Fall, 2021: Complete construction.

Phase 1: Nov 2019 thru May 2020 New generator building and deep utilities Phase 2: February 2020 thru mid‐June 2020 North Tongass Highway reconstruction. Phase 3: mid‐June 2020 thru March 2021 (partial winter shutdown) North parking lot expansion, new ferry loading lanes ‐ begin new passenger waiting building, north half of passenger drop‐off canopy. Phase 4: March 2021 thru July 2021 South half of parking reconstructed, passenger drop‐off canopy and passenger waiting building are completed. Phase 5: Aug 2021 thru Dec 2021 Ferry exit lane and passenger drop‐off lanes completed.
