 Apprenticeship is hands-on training for people

who enjoy "learning by doing”.

 90 per cent of apprenticeship training occurs

at the workplace with 10% in a classroom setting at a local community college/approved training facility.

 Everyone benefits from apprenticeship

  • training. Employers gain increasingly skilled

workers who help keep their business

  • competitive. Apprentices receive training while

they earn a wage.

 Apprenticeships are approximately 3 to 5 years

in length, and vary from trade to trade.

  • Tool and Die $45,600 per year

 Helps potential apprentices develop their

job skills and trade readiness to be prepared to find work as apprentices

 Programs are up to 52 weeks in length and

may include the Level 1 apprenticeship in- school training or relevant apprenticeship/ safety training, and an 8 to 12 week work placement

 Programs may also include employment

preparation and academic upgrading
