Provincial Graduation Assessments Graduation Assessments have changed to align with our new curriculum q Focus is on the demonstration and application of Literacy & Numeracy q In order to graduate students will write: q Numeracy Assessment – grade 10 – started 2017/18 q Literacy Assessment – grade 10 – starting in 2019/20 q Literary Assessment – grade 12 – starting in 2020/21 q Literary Assessment – for French Immersion students q q an additional assessment to the 3 above ( start date TBD)

Provincial Graduation Assessments Assessments will be: Marked on 4 point proficiency scale q q Emerging / Developing / Proficient / Extending Reported separately on transcript q Assessments will NOT be: Blended with any school course mark q Used by the Post Secondary schools at this point q Used as a pass/ fail q Assessment Results: www.bced.gov.bc.ca/exams
