A CESL Bridge Course defined

A CESL “bridge course” is an ESL course that supports an academic course by providing language support such as reading and vocabulary development in a specific content area or writing support for a composition course. Example: A student taking Psychology 101 would take the full, academic course offered over a 10-week period and attend an ESL Bridge course that supports the student by explicitly reinforcing terms, definitions and concepts specific to psychology.
