- Could I create a product or service in this niche?
- Could I charge a premium price in this niche?
- Is this niche a fad? (we don’t like fads, like fidget spinners)
- Do I get excited thinking about a business in this niche?

- Pomsky is a niche within the dog niche
- CPCU is a niche within the insurance niche
- Vegan soup is a niche within the vegan niche

Process Plug in seed keywords related to your niche from step one (brainstorming).
- Sort by KC, is there anything recommended with low competition?
- Sort by search volume, is there anything with a high volume?
- What topics come up? Is there a niche here?
Criteria
- Root niche has 10,000+ search volume
- Niche has KC of 35 or lower
- There are at least 5 topics within the niche that you could write about
- There are people paying for products and services within the niche
