  • Could I create a product or service in this niche?
  • Could I charge a premium price in this niche?
  • Is this niche a fad? (we don’t like fads, like fidget spinners)
  • Do I get excited thinking about a business in this niche?

Download Long Tail Pro free trial: http://theentrepreneurridealong.com/longtailpro Goal Find niche within a niche. Something with high volume, low competition. For example:

  • Pomsky is a niche within the dog niche
  • CPCU is a niche within the insurance niche
  • Vegan soup is a niche within the vegan niche

Process Plug in seed keywords related to your niche from step one (brainstorming).

  • Sort by KC, is there anything recommended with low competition?
  • Sort by search volume, is there anything with a high volume?
  • What topics come up? Is there a niche here?

Criteria

  • Root niche has 10,000+ search volume
  • Niche has KC of 35 or lower
  • There are at least 5 topics within the niche that you could write about
  • There are people paying for products and services within the niche
