Al Khafji Phase 2 Desalination Plant-Saudi Arabia Single purpose desalination plant to produce 5 million gallons per day desalted water by the evaporation of Arabian Gulf water based on MSF process and transmission of potable water to the distribution terminals in the town of Al Khafji and related office buildings and housing compound. Scope: CONTRACTING All civil works of the desalination plant. Turn-key  construction of sea water intake, outfall and treatment facilities. Turn-key construction of product water pipeline  and facilities for fuel oil supply, storage and handling. Turn-key construction of control buildings,  Commencement : October 1982  laboratory facilities, maintenance shop, warehouse, Completion : February 1986  office buildings, mosque and housing compound including HVAC and fire protection systems. Derna Desalination Plant Project (Sea Water Thermal (Med-tvc) Plant) - Libya The Project consisted of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up of a 2 x 20.000 m 3 /day Water Production Plant with two type of fuel, Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and Light Fuel Oil (LFO), complete with all Balance of Plant (BOP) systems. Heavy fuel oil (HFO) is used as main fuel for MED Desalination Plant operation whereas; light fuel oil (LFO) are used as back-up fuels.
