last 11 years

• There are 165 early college high schools in the state
• Over 20,000 students attend early college high schools
• In 2017-2018 YISD will have three different early college high school

The purpose of an early college high school is to provide students with…

• a rigorous high school education
• the opportunity to graduate from high school with an Associate’s

degree from El Paso Community College

• the chance to earn college credit towards a bachelor’s degree at

UTEP prior to high school graduation under the Accelerated Student Scholarship Program

• EPCC credits transfer to any PUBLIC university
• Credits earned MAY transfer to private or out-of-state universities
