SLIDE 6 TRAFFIC IMPACTS
US-6 will be open during all phases of construction. Below is a summary of traffic impacts to Adams Central Avenue.
Adams Central Avenue North of US-6
Adams Central Avenue will be closed north of US-6 from now until 6/30/2020*, reopen, and be closed again from 7/29/2020 to 8/9/2020*. Detour signs will be in place during closures.
Adams Central Avenue Closed South of US-6
Adams Central Avenue will be closed south of US-6 during Phase 1, Stage 2 of construction from May 21 to July 29, 2020*. Adams Central Avenue will be closed to thru traffjc and will remain open for local access to driveways only. Barricades and signs will be placed at the intersection at Adams Central Avenue and West Idlewilde Road.
Private Drive Access
Local access to driveways is allowed during all phases of construction. The contractor will provide advance notice to property owners before any impact.
Adams Central School District
The construction schedule will be coordinated with the Adams Central School District to limit impacts on school activities. Construction will be substantially complete by the fjrst day of school.
