The Banquet

Gather in the lord's great hall, to eat and drink, and to listen to songs and stories. Hear a favourite story about how Beowulf, a heroic prince, kills the fierce man-eating monster Grendel, and Grendel's equally horrid mother! Enjoy meat, cheese, well-dressed salads and quality breads with plenty to drink. The feast will begin with guests gathering and waiting for the sound of the horn then hand washing before they enter the hall. That’s only if they make it past the `door-wardens' who will stop any gate-crashers! The Battle of Reading
