WHY PLAN BE?

Plan A: Unsuccessful - $5,000 is too much for some members

Many members support the plan But it reduced membership by more than 50%. Without members we may lose the Lodge.

We must recruit new members

To optimize use of the club. To achieve financial operating sustainability To buy the 2/5th back from the Limited Partnership. To have funds needed to upgrade and renovate the lodge

IS THIS BOOKING COMPLEXITY NECESSARY?

At this time – NO… In the future… YES!

Right Now:

Book whenever you want. Advance bookings unnecessary.

In the Future:

Many more members will compete for available times. Existing members need a MEANS to PROTECT ACCESS to PEAK TIMES.

Also, options are needed:

To recruit new members. To increase use of lodge especially through the week/in the off season.

WE WANT TO SERVE THE MEMBERS

As Club Members we need:

To provide the Board with a flexible framework to enable implementation of this proposal. A general set of rules and reasonable expectations that our needs will usually be met. The ability to confirm stays for the season in advance to plan family activities. To grow our Club’s membership - our club has to have broad appeal.

This proposal is not perfect but:

Your club needs to move forward – what we have been doing is not working. Your club needs your support – a final proposal will be approved at the SGM. Your club needs to recruit many new members – invite friends and family to join. Your club needs to achieve financially sustainably in three to five years.

BE here in the future. Thank you for your support.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why does a Peak User pay the same annual dues as an Off Peak User? Dues cover the fixed cost of operations regardless of our level of use.

Members are paying for their additional “PEAK USE” as a Regular member through a higher initiation fee. There is also an opportunity to pay for Premium Advance bookings. This is a significant cost to ensure their prime time access that is: Required for families with school kids and 9-5 weekdays work schedules. Needed when members lack flexibility with day of week/time of year time off

You choose – personalize your access to meet your own requirements.

All standard members may book unlimited peak stays anytime after Premium Bookings have been confirmed. Non-peak can book peak stays 10 days in advance only.
