CAA has completed Working Paper #4 highlighting development recommendations and environmental review
- components. CRCOG staff participates on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the
Master Plan Update. The bullets below and the attached presentation highlight key components of the Master Plan and working paper. Working Paper #4 can be found on the project website at: http://www.bradley- planning.com/project-documents/ . It should be noted that a new Ground Transportation Center (GTC) and Consolidated Rental Car (CONRAC) facility is in the final design phase with construction scheduled for this year and next. It is forecasted that Bradley International Airport will see an Average Annual Growth Rate (AAGR) of 2.2% for enplanements. Air carrier operations are projected to see an AAGR
- f 1.7%.
Airfield Development recommendations include:
- Closure of Runway 1-19 (due to minimal activity to the Airport, one-way operation,
and intersection with other runways which restricts its use)
- An extension of Runway 15-33 (by approximately 255 feet)
- Upgrades to and extensions of taxiways
- Expanded aircraft overnight parking areas and apron improvements
- Centralized de-icing apron
