Detailed SCOPE of Work- Important for Section C The construction of Letaba - Tarentaal 8km 132kV Kingbird line within the Limpopo Operating Unit over a period of 6 months The scope of work below to be used in conjunction with the Bill of Quantities: • Establishment of facilities on sites; • Perform bush clearing along the servitude • Conduct soil nominations, foundations and where required foundation design • Transporting all material required to pole/line position • Testing of pole/tower footing resistance and poles earthing as well as earthing correction where required • Erection of structures/poles 2020/07/10 9

NEC scope of work continued • Installation of all required stays; • Poles dressing; • Stringing, Regulation, Crossings, Joints; Dampers • Line labelling • Dismantling of lines (structures and conductor) as indicated on the Bill of Quantities/Design • Closing spans at the substation; • Earthing of terminal poles to the substations earth grids. • Perform all line tests as indicated on the Bill of Quantities/Design • Handing over of the Asset 2020/07/10 10

NEC Quality contract conditions • Quality Control • Final Contract Quality Plan must be signed 30 days after contract award by Project manager; • An approved Quality Control Programme/ Plan ( QCP/ ITPP) is to be compiled prior to task order execution in conjunction with, and to the approval of, the Project Manager. • A Quality Check sheet per structure and line section installation is to be developed and approved by the Project Manager and the CPE. 2020/07/10 11

  12. Common mistakes made by tenderers on Quality submissions 1. Section A 1. Quality manual structure layout not aligned to latest Standard (2008 or 2015); 2. QMS Procedures incomplete and do no comply with particular ISO clause elements; Do not copy and paste the ISO standard- inteprete and customise to your business; address all elements of the procedure as per clause requirements 3. Quality policy not signed or not submitted; or does not comply with clause ISO 9001:2015 - 5.3 ( it’s a controlled document must have ref number; revision; authorization date); 4. For Option1- ISO certification scope must be relevant; valid by tender closing date; 2020/07/10 12

QMR appointment letter or and CV not submitted; QMR to attend training on QM in the first 12 months after contract award (contract condition) 2. Organogram has no names and signed nor on letterhead- must be a controlled document; 3. Supplier Management procedure not aligned to Clause 8.4 of ISO 9001:2015; Section C 1. CQP sow not described as in the NEC; project organogram does not include roles and responsibilities of organogram functions in respect of SOW; 2. Does not add the out-sourced SOW functions/activities; and other CQP ;elements; 2020/07/10 13

If used, sow specific task order is not used (eg; design instead of installation; construction instead of design – Use a Tender SOW Task order); 3. QCP to be based on the scope of work activities- refer to NEC, this tender scope of work has more than 1 QCPs; Section E 1. Satisfaction surveys not completed by clients; Name of clients- name of project/service- stamp/signature missing; Submit CS survey templates- rather submit reference letter ( name of client- project/service-date); Reference letter from previous clients; 2. Incorrect Form A - old Forms; 3. Form A neither completed not signed and incorrectly marked Form submitted. 2020/07/10 14
