On 23 June 2016, the UK voted to leave the European Union On 29 March 2017, the prime minister triggered article 50, which gave the UK 2 years to prepare to leave the EU.

  • stay in the UK for as long as you like
  • apply for British citizenship, if you’re eligible
  • work in the UK
  • use the NHS
  • enrol in education or continue studying
