Key Differences with Previous Reporting

HFA

  • Reporting heavily reliant on country reporting capacity
  • Mostly Qualitative
  • Reporting every two years
  • No coherence with MDG reporting
  • Self-assessed ratings

Sendai

  • Blend of Quantitative and Qualitative
  • Coherence with SDG reporting
  • Minor reporting each year (for SDGs) plus

Major reporting once every two years (Sendai cycle)

  • Partner input options for reporting (Country Contributors)

Possible CSO Options for SFDRR

National Options 1) Submit CSO data to Country Sendai Focal Point; or 2) Request Country Sendai Focal Point to make CSO a “Country Contributor” for specific indicators

  • This will give partner access to enter data on specific

indicator(s) of the Government’s choosing;

  • Country (Government) will validate data and control

what data is included on system. Regional Options

  • 1. Options same as above but for regional reporting:
  • ADPC (Asia) and
  • SPC (Pacific)
